It is well recognized for helping with skin ailments and muscle and joint strains. It has a cucumber like flavor and tea from the leaf can be consumed as opposed to the root of Comfrey. Around the garden comfrey leaves are a great addition to compost, but comfrey grows very vigorously and abundantly and we have to be careful that it does not take over in our garden!
